Louisa’s motivation is to help others grow personally and professionally in a way that improves career satisfaction, happiness, health, connection, knowledge and insight. She has provided emotional intelligence (EI) training to professionals working in a range of industries including telecommunications, community health, legal, financial services and education. Louisa is skilled in presenting energising and engaging training sessions. She is experienced in articulating concepts clearly and creatively, while incorporating business knowledge and experience into training. Louisa understands the importance of turning credible research and theory into practical strategies for everyday application.
Louisa has worked in both strategic and project management roles in Europe for some of the world’s leading organisations including Visa, Allianz, UBS Investment Bank, Legal & General and Royal Bank of Scotland. At home in Australia she has worked for GE, ANZ, NAB, BP and also provided training for the vocational and higher education sectors at Swinburne University of Technology and Deakin University. Training has been provided in the areas of EI, professional development, continuous improvement, professional communication, team effectiveness, personal effectiveness and personal insight.
Louisa completed a Bachelor of Business (Management) and Bachelor of Arts (Philosophy). After completing the double degree, Louisa researched EI, receiving 1st class honours and graduating top of the class at Monash University. The research tested the relationship between EI, career success and effective leadership. Research findings were presented at the international conference ‘Human Resources Management Performance and Worker Well-Being Stream’ of the Australian Consortium for Research on Employment and Work. Research results revealed a link between EI and career advancement and effective leadership. These findings highlighted that people wishing to advance in their organisations should develop their EI and leadership.
